Issum is located near the Dutch border, approx. 50 km northwest of Düsseldorf. It is located directly on the A57 highway and approx. 30 minutes from Düsseldorf Airport and approx. 20 minutes from Düsseldorf-Weeze Airport. The Duisburg train station, which is served by a direct connection from Munich, is also not far away. For those who will be arriving by plane or train, we will try to organize private shuttles - both for arrival and departure as well as for transfers between accommodation and venues.
We have reserved larger room contingents at both the 4-star Hotel Seepark and the JaHotel (by Seepark). The contingent at the Hotel Seepark has priority for the participants of the master course, as the theoretical units will also take place there. There are also a number of guesthouses and vacation apartments in the surrounding area. For those traveling on a smaller budget, we will try to provide bed and breakfast accommodation in the tournament hall.
The Master’s Clinic will take place from October 22 to 23, 2025. The practical part will take place in the tournament gym in Issum, while the theoretical units will be held at the 4-star Hotel Seepark.
The Black Belt Clinic will take place on October 24, 2025 in the tournament gym in Issum.
The Black Belt Dinner takes place in the Lindenstuben restaurant, which has been in existence since 1874. The restaurant is within walking distance of both hotels.
The championship will take place on October 25, 2025 in Issum in the gymnasium at Vogt-von-Belle-Platz. In addition to a sufficiently large competition area, it offers a grandstand, a cafeteria and sufficient parking spaces.
If you are considering combining your trip to the championships with a short or longer vacation, we will be happy to help you with the planning and provide you with tips. Even if the Lower Rhine is a blind spot on the map for many, there is still a lot to discover here and nearby at the end of October. Here are a few examples, all of which can be reached in less than 30 minutes by car:
- LVR-Römer Museum (Xanten) - the largest open-air archaeological museum in Germany
- Irrland (Kevelaer) - the all-weather amusement park for families with children up to the age of 12 with over 90 attractions
- Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord - one of the largest industrial monuments in Germany
- LEGOLAND Discovery Center (Oberhausen)
- SEA LIFE (Oberhausen)
Düsseldorf and Cologne, as well as the entire Ruhr metropolitan region with its variety of attractions and sights, can be reached within 60 minutes. Düsseldorf impresses with its art scene, the old town and the Königsallee, while Cologne scores with its impressive Cologne Cathedral and lively carnival culture. In the Ruhr region, the focus is on industrial culture and historical sites such as the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site. The region also offers numerous recreational areas and a vibrant art scene. Together, these regions form a fascinating mix of history, culture and modern life.
Please contact us with your interests and we will put together interesting excursion destinations in the areas of nature, sport, history, culture and entertainment for all ages.
